TITLE: Happy Ever After
GENRE: Children's Story
INTRODUCTION: They weren’t poor to begin with. Rowan’s dad worked as a mechanic during the day, and his mum did various shifts in a clothes shop and together they made enough money to pay the bills and buy Rowan anything he needed. Everything was fine, until one day Rowan’s dad went. Without a word, he just walked out of their lives forever. Rowan’s mum, Amelia, found a letter on the kitchen table.
“I’m sorry, it’s just not working out. There’s someone else. I can’t be in two places at the same time. Rowan’s older now. You’ll be fine on your own without me. Don’t try to contact me. Dad”
Apparently, he had met someone else and they were going to start a family of their own. That was the last time Rowan ever saw his dad. He didn’t spend too much time crying though. His dad was useless anyway. He was lazy and rude and spent too much time playing computer games instead of helping Rowan’s mum. As far as Rowan was concerned, he didn’t need his dad. Mum loved him loads and did everything to make sure he was happy. They got on well together. Rowan promised himself he’d work hard and make his mum proud of him. It was just as well his dad did leave, because if he didn’t, Rowan wouldn’t be where he is today. Soon after that morning his dad left, something amazing happened – Something that would change his life forever. And this is how it happened – How Rowan found his happily ever after.
